Intro

The Sonnentag, which includes the Sonnentag Event Center and the John and Carolyn Sonnentag Fieldhouse, provides sports and event spaces that will serve UW-Eau Claire Blugold athletic teams, students, and the Eau Claire community.

How Blugolds Use The Sonnentag

Opened in 2024, The Sonnentag includes: 

  • A major event facility with a total capacity of 5,000, which brings big-name artists to Eau Claire
  • An 84,000-square-foot space featuring a 120-yard artificially turfed field, giving a space for Blugold Athletics to practice and play 
  • The Center for Health and Wellbeing, offering cardio and weight equipment as well as personal training and group exercise programs for 澳门葡京网赌送彩金 students 
  • Offices for Blugold Athletics
  • A new Mayo Clinic Health System Diagnostic Imaging and Sports Medicine Center, providing services to area athletes and active Eau Claire residents

Nothing gets folks as energized as the Blugold Marching Band, and their field house performance for The Sonnentag ribbon cutting was spectacular. The field house will also offer a BMB rehearsal location for inclement weather days when they cannot rehearse outdoors.
